Emma’s First Outing to Church

Today was the first time that we have gone to church since Emma’s birth almost 7 weeks ago. I know that it is pitiful that it has taken us seven weeks but it has been difficult trying to develop a schedule with both children, and not to mention most places make it very difficult for nursing mother to feed their children. (I now understand why you see those mothers who will just whip their boobs out in front of anyone – not sure that I will ever be one of those people but I can empathize.) Anyway we had a good outing. Emma slept thru the church service, and Taylor behaved very well (it is amazing what a package of Starburst will do for a kid in church). Emma and I pretty much missed the majority of Sunday School because we were feeding but all in all it was a very good outing. The most important past was Taylor got to attend the official first lesion of Sunday School for the new school year.

Below are some pictures of Emma in her adorable smocked dress, that she wore to church today, that her Aunt Jennifer gave to her. She looked so cute!!! There are also some pictures of her in the slip that came under the dress (I thought bloomer were great, but slips are just priceless on little babies). Thank you Aunt Jennifer.
