Taylor Stories

1. Taylor “Mom how do you know that.”
Mom “I know everything”
Taylor “Mom, how many times do I have to tell you that Ms. Deb know everything. I am sick and tired of telling you that.”

I love to tell Taylor that I know everything because he is adamant that Ms. Deb knows everything and is the smartest women in the world. She is very smart, but I love to push his little buttons.

2. I am sure that I have blogged about this before, but it is just too funny not to mention again. This morning when Taylor and I were driving to Drama Camp (through the University of Arkansas Campus), I said to him one day maybe you can come to school here, and he said “mom I don’t ever want to leave home. I actually really wish that I could merry you and live with you forever.” I said “you can live with me forever if you want,” and he said “I think I will.” I know that his mind will change one day, but I love that he loves me so very much.

3. Speaking of Drama Camp Taylor is loving the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe that he is taking through the Walton Art Center. They are learning about drama, puppeteer, imagination, and art. Yesterday was the first day and he was sitting on the couch with his arms crossed, and not participating. But today he was so looking forward to interacting with all of the kids, and he did 100% participation. In fact he told all of the class everything that he knows about Narnia (which is a lot). It just takes him a little while to get warmed up to new situations. Plus a little bit of bribery never hurts!!! We are going to eat at Shogun if he participates the whole time today. He loves to watch the show and the fire at Shogun. I am so very bless to have such a great job and to work for such an awesome company that would let me take him to camp each day this week in Fayetteville, and work from the art center.

4. Last story – yesterday on our way down to camp we had some extra time to kill so Taylor and I went and drove the hills of Fayetteville, and he was so funny throwing his arms up in the air like he was riding a rollercoaster.

Ah-Oh

Emma Grace started saying Ah-Oh today and it is the cutest thing I have ever heard.

She has also discovered where the dog food and water is stored. It is so funny to watch her look around, to make sure no one is looking, before she darts off to them. She loves to splash in their bowl of water. I can remember back to when Taylor discovered the dog bowls. When you would start to come after him he would start to crawl faster and faster, and if he got to the dog food first he would grab a fist full of it and throw it all over the place. Oh I miss that innocent little boy.

Little Girl Kisses

Emma Grace last night you started offering up kisses on command. They are the sweetest little things a momma could ever ask for. I will say “Emma can I have a kiss?” And you will come at me with an open mouth. Your daddy does not care for them really (they are really slobbery), but they make my heart melt.

Emma you seem to learn a new little trick each day, and it is so exciting to watch. Not to mention that your big bother has started to fall in love with you again. I think he has finely started to realize that you are not going to be a baby forever, and that you will start to play with him really soon. I love you little girl, Mom

Weekend In Pictures Part 2

Our Garden

This is our attempt at an organic garden. We will see what the rabbits leave us to eat this year. Taylor has planted carrots, 2 varieties of beans, okra, tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplant, basil, rosemary, and thyme. We did have one of our eggplants just up and walk away one night (we think a rabbit took off with the whole thing)!!!

Our thyme is not doing so well, because some fat little caterpillars helped themselves to it one day. Taylor and I had admired them the day prior, and then came back the next night and noticed that they were fatter and all of our thyme had been eaten.

Wonderful Summertime Weekend

We had such a wonderful weekend this past weekend. Taylor wrapped up his last ball game on Friday night. This has been such a fun season to watch 4 and 5 year olds play ball. Some of them are very dedicated to the game, and then you have some that are like my little Taylor who would much rather turn his hat around the wrong way, pick grass, and dance in the outfield! Regardless of the type of player your child is this whole season has been quite entertaining! Most of the games they did not keep score and they just played for fun. But, our last two games were “the tournaments” and they kept score. I have to say that I liked it a lot better when it was just for fun. It is amazing how many of the dad’s started showing up for the tournament games, and started yelling from the sidelines. I don’t think I am going to like sports when they are all about competition.

We also go to spend the whole weekend at the late with Uncle Jonathan, Aunt Mary, Lucy, Nene, and Poppy. Audrey, Aaron, Lila, Pop Roy, Grandmom Susan, Sean, Lawson, and Britain all came to visit for a little while too. We had such a nice relaxing time together. I just love watching Emma Grace and Lucy plat together. This was their official first sleep over.

Taylor was also a hoot at the lake. He loves his Manna and G-Daddy’s lake house. At one point this weekend he said (while shaking his fist in the air) – “I’m about to freak out if someone does not take me on a boat ride.” He loves to drive G-Daddy’s boat, and swim in the lake. He also loves to solicit volunteers to play Star Wars with him. He especially loves to beat Poppy up with the Lightsaber. He loves rough housing with his Poppy! He is quite a little rebel with a Lightsaber these days!

(More weekend pictures to come – this post has taken 60 min. thus far, and it is time for bed.)

My precious little boy. I could eat that smile up every day!

Pretty, Pretty, Princess. This weekend Emma Grace started shaking her whole body when her dad looks at her and says “shake it”. It is so cute. She has also started to play Peak a Pie with us.

Happy Father’s Day 2009 Ryan Anthony. You are the best father that I could have ever picked for my children. We love you very much.

Also, Happy Father’s Day My Dad – we missed you very much this year. Can’t wait till you and mom are done with LA forever!

Guess Who We Got to Baby Sit Last Night….

My precious little Lucy Bug!!! Mary and Jonathan celebrated their second wedding anniversary by having a night out, and Aunt Laura and Uncle Ryan got to baby sit Lucy Goosy. We had so much fun and Lucy was so good while mommy and daddy were out. It was really funny because Lucy was perfect for us up until mom and dad came to pick her up. I think she just got sad (and fussy) because she knew she had to leave all the fun.

Lucy – sometime really soon we will have a spend the night party. I love you sweet little girl, and I am looking forward to our weekend at the lake this weekend.

Bubble Bath Time

Taylor and Emma enjoying a good bubble bath.

Taylor will probably kill me when he realizes that I have put these pictures on the internet!

We have fallen in love with the new Johnson and Johnson Bubble Bath/Bath Soap – it leaves their skin feeling so soft.

Have you ever seen someone so cute!!!

Look at those little teeth. Emma you have two at this point.

Taylor’s Preschool Graduation

Last Friday we got to celebrate Taylor’s Preschool Graduation. The kids were so cute in their cap and gowns. They performed about 12 different songs/skits, and were simply adorable. Taylor did very well – he said he was nervous and that is why he kept making silly faces, but I could not tell that he was nervous because he did an excellent job!!!

Luckily we still have 10 week left of Wee Friends Preschool, but I can’t believe that this journey is life is almost over for our little Taylor. It seems like just yesterday he was in the Red Room (Infant Room).

Taylor my sweetheart you have learned so much over the past 5 years, and you have made friend that you will treasure for a lifetime. You are truly a spectacular little boy and I can’t wait to see what the next phase in life holds for us. But it you could – please stop growing up so fast!!!

Taylor’s T-Ball Team 2009

Taylor has really enjoyed getting out and playing T-Ball this year on the 4 & 5 year old team. His team is the Giants, and he is a very good batter. He really does not have the attention span yet to play in the field, but he is making great progress. He is so funny because by the end of the second game he is sitting on the ground, with his hat on backwards, playing in the grass. I love to watch this age group play ball!
