Catching Up

Oh – thank goodness I was able to log in. I thought I would be locked out for abusing my blog. I have been so very busy that I have been neglecting my blog that I do truly love so much.

I am sitting in my hotel room tonight in Charlotte, NC anticipating getting caught up on my blog. Why am I in Charlotte you might ask, well I am at the NEW (Network of Executive Women) Conference. Which is a wonderful investment for my career but I am missing my babies.

This is part of the reason that I am behind on my blog – I have been traveling a lot with work lately. Two weeks ago I was in Phoenix for 6 whole days. I have also been spending a lot of time at my second job – which is being the V.P. for the Wee Friends Discovery Center, Board of Directors. Wee Friends is the daycare that I have raised my children in, which is a mission of my church. I took over this responsibility in April and let me tell you I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Our old director turned in her resignation in May, and I worked all summer long to hire a new director. We now have on in place, and she is phenomenal but this responsibility is still a lot of work. I have also been working hard, but not as hard as my wonderful business partner (and sister) Mary on our Too Sweet Sister’s business. Which for some reason has really picked up lately. Over the past couple weeks we have had 5-6 orders a week. Oh yea I am teaching 2 year old Sunday School, trying to sell my house (while my family remains in it), trying to make sure that Taylor does well on his spelling test/reading assignments/soccer/choir/kids of the kingdom, and trying to be a half way descent mother and wife. All the while trying to keep our the 25 pounds that I lost last year, which is proving to be harder than it sounds.

All of this is why I have not blogged in a while. I am not complaining I love my life, I am just trying to reflect on my busyness and trying to figure out why I am so stinking tired all the time. HA!!! Enjoy the next few blog post of pictures of my beautiful children and recent travel adventures.

Sales trip to Phoenix, and Hummer trip to the Desert

This is the AZ desert, that we got to view from a Hummer a couple weeks ago at our national sales meeting. No the whole meeting was not like this, but we did get to do one fun activity during the week, and I choose to see the desert. I don't know that I would do it again considering it was 117 outside but at lease I can say I did it. The AZ desert really is a gorgeous place, and the Hummer ride was pretty cool.

This was a team building activity that we did. As a sales organization we built 35 bikes, and presented them to 35 children from the local boys and girls clubs. It was awesome to see the kids faces and they came to receive their bikes.

Dean Dynamo’s Kickball Team

On Friday our sales team played in a charity kickball game. I have not had so much fun in along time. The fields were so muddy and we were falling and sliding all over the place. When I was growing up we used to live on this cul-de-sac and all the neighborhood kids would come out and play kickball and we had a blast. Last Friday brought back all of those good memories. The only thing I don't remember from my childhood was waking up the next morning so very sore. It is 4 days later and my legs are still sore. I must be getting old.

Taylor Soccer 2010

I think that we have finaly found a sport that this little boy loves!!! That is right I have never seen my Taylor man smile as much as he does while he is running up and down that soccer field.

2 Year Old Sunday School

Sometimes I’m not sure what I get myself into. I really do have more on my plate right now than I can possibly handle, but a couple weeks ago when I was told that there was no one to teach the 2 year Sunday School Class I said I would teach it. Luckily I was able to sucker Mary into teaching with me. This is the class that Emma Grace and Lucy are in, so it is only fitting that they have the best teachers ever! It will be a fun year. I taught Taylor’s class when he was 2, and it was very rewarding. Plus these are the children that my baby girl will grow up with in the church, so it is only right that I get to know them as well as possible and they get to know me.

Gentry Wildlife Safari Visit

Well, being here in little old NWA we really don’t have much options for entertainment, or zoo’s. Really the only option we have is the Gentry Wildlife Safari. It’s not bad for a little town drive through zoo. Emma Grace and I did this by ourselves yesterday since the boys are out of town. We had a really good time. Emma Grace loved riding in the front of the car like a big girl, and she would get so very tickled when the animals could come up close to the car.

Chef Taylor and Emma Grace the Mess Maker

Last Sunday when we got home from church Taylor grabbed his chef hat and made Mac and Cheese for everyone. In the mean time Emma Grace colored all over herself with her markers. This is one of her favorite pastimes.

Wee Friend’s Birthday Party Reunion

Last weekend Taylor got to go to Xander’s Birthday party, and reunite with all of his old Wee Friend’s friends. I love these children. I got to watch each of these children grow up from birth, and Taylor is still such good friends with them.
