Nene and Poppy Christmas Visit

Here are a few pictures from our visit with Nene and Poppy.  We had the best time just hanging around the house and playing with the kids.  Nene and Poppy are so good to get on the floor and play whatever their grandkids want to play.  Taylor played a lot of monopoly with Nene and Poppy.  And Emma Grace and Nene played a lot of princesses together.  We can't wait until their next visit to Atlanta.

Happy Birthday Jesus

We don't have a whole lot of family traditions left (mostly because I am not good at remembering them anymore), but one that we continue to do is to make Jesus a Happy Birthday cake on Christmas Eve.  We do this in lieu of cookies for Santa, and it means a lot to the kids each year.  It was hard to keep Emma Grace out of the cake this year!

Holiday Visitors

We have been busy with lots of visitors the last couple of weeks so hints why I have not been blogging.  We are just so blesses to have have so many people that will come and visit us.  We have kind of been on traveling strike the past few months.  We just don't feel like the twins are ready for the 14 hour trek back home.  Last week Nene and Poppy came to visit, and as Ryan was dropping them off at the airport on Christmas Eve he picked up Aunt Emily and brought her home with him.  Emily will be here for a total of 22 days and I am so thankful because part of that time Ryan will be duck hunting in Arkansas. This week my cousin's twin girls Alison and Brianna came to visit and we are just having the best time with them.  Yesterday we went to the Georgia Aquarium, along with everyone else in Atlanta, and today Ryan brought the big kids to play monster golf.  Hopefully we are showing them a fun time.  I know Taylor and Emma Grace have enjoyed having them.  Here are a couple pictures from our adventure yesterday.

Family Pictures

My last Thanksgiving post.  I love all of these family pictures we were able to get with everyone.  I especially love the ones with all the babies crying.

Photo Dump - Thanksgiving 2012

I have not been able to move on with life because I feel so behind on my blog.  I don't have a lot to say, I just don't want these pictures to be lost so I want to post them here!!!

My dear friend Samantha sent me these flowers for Thanksgiving, and they had the sweetest most heartfelt card with them.  I miss my old friends so much, but look forward to seeing them in May for girls weekend!

Play Date

I stink at blogging these days.  It is almost Christmas and I still don't have my Thanksgiving pictures up.  Such as life, "a day late, and a dollar short" I think the saying goes.  Well I usually have a dollar (praise The Lord), but these days I am always late.

Last Friday we had a play date at Abby's house and it was so much fun!  Emma Grace and I love these little girls and their mommy's.   I am saddened to say that I have taken Emma Grace out of play school, but the twins ears have been so bad for months that we have had  to change things up. We will still work to see these friends of our but it just won't be everyday anymore.

Here are some pictures from our play date.

Aunyx Dog

We lost a dear old friend today.  Aunyx was our precious dog for 12 years.  We love her so much and know that all dogs go to heaven and we will see her again one day.  Aunyx has been sick for about a week,  and this is a picture we took of her last night as we were snuggling on the couch.

The Home Depot Gingerbread House!

She makes my heart melt!  I love all the cute Christmas clothes that the kids have this year.  It is not because I recently bought them in fact Nene has made so many of them, and I found a tone on sale last year.  I just love all the red and bright colors.

Okay back to my original post.  We were so excited to find this Home Depot Gingerbread house.  We just love Ryan's new company and are so proud that he loves his new job so much.

The kids had so much fun - can you see all the orange icing around Emma Grace's face?
