Sibling Love

These two have been playing so very well together since our move to Atlanta.  Probably a result of the lack of options!  I know they are very excited to be moving into our new house this weekend so they can start making neighborhood friends.  I am very grateful for this time they have had to bond together.

Daddy's New Work

I thought this was the cutest picture of the kids on the mickey mouse at daddy's new work.  We had the best time at the IT picnic.  We are so proud of Ryan for finding a company he loves working for!

Helen, Georgia Park

We also found a park to have a picnic in, and let the kids run around.  It was only about 120 degrees but it really wore the kids out!  And us, we were ready for a nap after all that.

VBS Done Up Right

These are some pictures from the VBS appreciation lunch that I attended last Friday for helping volunteer with teaching VBS. it was so nice of the staff to appreciate us like this. This wonderful church that we have found has the best children's ministries and I think it will be our new church home. It is bigger than I ever thought we would go to nut they dont mess around when it comes to anything. Praise is awesome, their small groups seem wonderful, their children's ministries are the best I have ever witnessed, the people are so friendly. We got invited to a play date today with a group of moms and kids and had the best time.

Helen, Georgia

On Saturday we packed up the kids and went on a good old fashion Coble Family adventure. We went to the strange little quaint town called Helen, GA. Apparently in the 1960 when the town determined that the gold had all been found, they decided they better do something to keep their town alive. So they planned it as a resort type town to reflect being in Germany. I really wish I know how that town hall meeting went. Someone would have laughed at me if I would have suggested such a thing.

It is at the foothills of The Great Smoky Mountains. It was kind of a surreal experience, because it was a very strange town out in the middle of nowhere. It was much like Branson, MO. We enjoyed out time there, and we got to spend some time driving around the national forest. While out and about a big black bear cub ran right out in front of our car.

10 Months Old

This time last year I had just been put on bed rest to wait the summer away. It was so very boring, and trying on our family. I watched every episode of The Cosby’s that was ever made. I learned how different Emma Grace was from her big brother Taylor. I learned how unfortunate kidney stones are. I learned to depend on friends and family, which I have never been good at. Had it not been for my sisters daily entertainment I know for certain I would not have made it through those long boring days.

But, only was it through lots of prayers and the grace of God that I did not deliver my precious babies 12 weeks early. I can’t believe that they are now 10 months old. I love them so much.

Everyone Is All Grown Up

My babies are growing up too fast.  This weekend we turned them around so they could look forward on our car trip into the mountains.  They loved it and we will never be able to go back.

All Things Pink and Blue

I love all things Pink and Blue!  And these carseat canopies are not exception.  I have had these since the babies were born.  They were perfect for covering up sleeping babies, or to just cover up babies so people did not try to touch them.  It is amazing how many dirty children try to touch a baby, and how many parents think it is okay.  I found that especially true with twins, they draw a lot of attention.  So I loved these covers for the babies.  Well I took them off recently so that we could share with baby Henry.  Plus the babies are too busy to nap in their carseat, and they are now the dirty little children that use to scare me!

These make great baby gifts - I found these two on Etsy.

Obsessed

I am obsessed I admit it. And I am pretty sure that everyone is interested in this, well maybe not but I am going to document it, so you can quit reading if you like and wait for a new post tomorrow!

I am like those women on that show Extreme Couponers. I protect my breastmilk like it truly is liquid gold. I made Ryan move it all from Arkansas to Georgia. I had a whole 8 divider deep freezer full of it when we were getting ready to leave Arkansas, and I was not going to lose it. We could not bring our deep freezer with us because it was too big and would not have made the U-haul trip easy (plus it is too heavy for me to carry). So I had Ryan buy a small deep freezer that he could move in himself. We moved huge coolers full of breastmilk and dry ice across 5 states. I am happy to report that it all made it still frozen. The freezer is not nearly as organized as my old one, but my babies still have breastmilk if they need it.

I am actually embarrassed that I made Ryan go to all of this trouble because we have not used any of it since we have been here. I am still able to make enough and pump extra to sustain the babies. But I just could not bear the thought of throwing it out, unless you have breastfeed a baby you have no idea how much work it takes to get a whole deep freezer full of milk.

I actually did try to donate all of it before we left, but the process took longer than we had available so I moved it with us. I think it is actually going to work out great. I have big plans to nurse the twin’s until they are at least a year old. But Ryan and I want to go on an anniversary trip to celebrate our 10th Wedding anniversary in August (before the twins are 12 months). I think that Nene and Poppy are going to make it over that weekend and watch the babies for us, and I bet they will put my milk to good use.

I am obsessed with breastfeeding, but that is another post that I will get to at some point in time.  I am truly thinking that I want to become a certified lactation consultant, so that I can help other momma’s successfully nurse their babies.  I have been reviewing all of my options for about 6 months now.  I have been craving a job with a lot of lifelong purpose, where I can truly make an impact in people’s lives.  We will see what happens.

This freezer is actually almonst full to the top.

A Trip to the Children’s Museum

Last week the kids and I ventured off to downtown Atlanta, and went to the Children’s museum, where this momma let the big kids run around for 5 hours straight. I am so board staying in corporate housing, and the kids are going stir crazy, so I try to get them out at least once a day to run off some steam. And after spending $42, to get into the museum and $10 in parking we were going to get our money’s worth! In hindsight I wish I had bought a membership package, so we could have gone as many times as we wanted to during the year, but I am not sure how many times we are going to want to go once we actually get moved into our new house.

The museum was a fun place to visit and the babies loved getting to play in a new play area that actually has toys. I am still not sure why I only packed them 10 little things to play with, and now I am too cheap to go by them more. We should be moved into our new house in about 3 more weeks, and we will have all of their toys again.

There are a lot of picture here. I am guilty of posting a lot of pictures but one day I am going to have my blog printed so my kids can each have a copy and I think they will love all of the pictures!

Taylor hates to have his picture taken.  He makes it his personal mission to be in as few pictures as possible, and when I insist he makes it look as though he is miserable.

Baby play time.  The twins appreciated the extra play toys.  I am such a bad mom.  Seriously if you could see the few toys that I have been making them play with you would be embarrassed.  The other day I pulled the swim float out for them to climb over, that Emma Grace bought to bring to the pool.

I love these Discovery Tubes.  I took a picture of them so I can make some for our new playroom.   I am so very excited about setting up a play room for the kids in our new basement.  I am going to make it very bright and stimulating.  I am going to make it a circus/clown theme, and use all of the antique and vintage clowns and toys that I use to have Taylor’s room decorated in.  I am so excited about pulling it all together.

My beautiful blue eyed baby girl!

Emma Grace loved shopping in the grocery store.

Discovering!  Look at those eyes.
