Another Awesome Night at The Park

Our favorite thing to do when daddy gets home from work is pack up and head to the park, or go on an adventure.  Tonight was no exception.  We headed over to one of our favorite parks, and let the kids play on the play ground, we blew bubbles, we stopped to see the dogs at the dog park, and then we went on a walk around the trail. Along the way we stopped and let the kids catch fire flies.

We are loving our new lives in Atlanta. You would think that life would be crazy given that we moved to a big city, but really things have settled down so much.  We are not both trying to drive a carer, and ship kids all over town to be cared for when we are at work.  Our days don't start at 4:00 in the morning anymore.  The kids get to sleep in, instead of get up at 6:00 everyday.  Ryan and I are not dog tired at the end of the bed and fighting to make it to 8:30 so we can go to bed.  We actually enjoy staying up late with each other now and talking or watching TV.

We feel not rushed now, we feel that we are living a simpler life.  We are stopping and smelling the roses (or watch the kids catch fireflies for 30 minutes).  I thank God everyday for his perfect plan, and for our new adventures in life!

Laura - that is SO awesome!! I must admit that I'm jealous! :-) Do you think it's just because you're not working or is it also Ryan's schedule? I'm dying to hear the secret :-)

Also, the pic makes me smile...the boys used to swing together like that! now, they're too big! it goes so fast, doesn't it?!

I'm right there with you, Laura! Isn't it great having extra time and not being dead tired every day all day? It isn't easy, but it is worth it to enjoy our kiddos.
