Week 31.5 Update

My week 31 and a half doctor’s appointment was on Tuesday. Babies both look great. Addison Brooke is weighing in at 3 lb. and 11 oz. and Preston Anthony weighed in at 3 lb. and 10 oz. Bedrest is still suiting the babies well for I have not progressed any further over the past 5 weeks. Both babies are both still transverse (laying sideways across my belly), not really optimal for delivery. So the doctor said that she would be scheduling my c-section for week 38, at my appointment next week. At least that will give us a for sure date to look at, but I have decided that if I make it to 34 weeks I am going to start walking and become active because I am ready for the babies to turn upside down and get out!

Tomorrow I will be 32 weeks pregnant, and I just thank God everyday that we made it this long. We were sure that at week 25 when we were having contractions and starting to dilate that we would not get to this point, but God is very good and we know that he is watching after our babies.

On Tuesday I also saw my urologist who is helping control my kidney stones, because I was in so much pain from the stint that they put in two and a half weeks ago. Evidently it had come out of position and it had to be removed. I am in a lot less pain now and just praying to God everyday that they pain from the kidney stones stays away until I deliver these babies. I am not sure I can deal with much more!

My mom had been here for the past three weeks helping us out and I have been so thankful that she would drop what is going on in her life and come help us out. I don’t know what we would do without all the extra support that everyone has shown to us lately. Thank you all friends and family for everything that you have done to help us through this crazy time in our lives!

You are doing great, Laura. I made it to 32 weeks and 5 days so it looks like you are on track to go much longer. I was told every day in the womb is equal to 3 days they would have to spend in the NICU. Keep at it!!
