Last night Emma Grace started to crawl on her belly. I think it is all over for daddy and I now that she is mobile.
Emma Grace – you are growing up too fast. I wish we could freeze time right here.

Happy Birthday Ryan!!!
Ryan, we love you and want to wish you a very Happy Birthday. I am so sorry that it is 9:09 pm and you are still working, and not enjoying your birthday.
For those of you who don’t know my husband, let me just tell you he absolutely loves his birthday. He actually loves his “birthday month” as he calls it, and we literally celebrate it (or just hear about it) all month long. Well last night Taylor and I had finished wrapping up Ryan’s birthday present, and Ryan came in the room and started quizzing Taylor about what we got him for his Birthday. Taylor did really well at first and did not cave, but by the end of the conversation he slipped up and said “mom did not remember what type of drink you wanted dad so she got you some money.” Luckily he did not tell the other gift that we got, but Ryan played along nicely, and acted surprised this morning when we gave him an envelope with cash in it so he could buy the “adult beverage” he has had his eye on.

Taylor’s Pizza Recipe
The other day Taylor’s class made mini pizzas and Taylor loved them so much that he asked Ms. Deb to give him the recipe so we could make them at home. It was a really fun activity that Taylor could do by his self, and it was a night of for cooking for mom!!
English Muffin Pizza’s
Cut English Muffins in half
Add pizza sauce, pepperonis, and mozzarella chesses
Bake on 350 for 10 min (or until cheese is melted)

Sunday Fun
Today at church we had the honor to hear Dr. Zan Wesley Holmes, Jr speak to our congragation. It was such an privilage to hear him speak.
Dr. Holmes is Pastor Emeritus of St. Luke Community United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas, where he served for 28 years. He was Adjunct Professor of Preaching at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University for 24 years. Known as much for his community activism as his preaching and teaching, Holmes was elected to the Texas House of Representatives from 1968 – 1972, while he also served as a United Methodist District Superintendent. He is widely known from his role as narrator and host of the Disciple Bible Study video series produced by Abingdon Press (Disciple 1). Dr. Holmes graduated from Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas and has two graduate degrees from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. In 2001, he was recognized as one of the Civil Rights Movement’s “Invisible Giants” in the National Voting Rights Museum and Institute in Selma, Alabama.

We also had the chance to start planning our garden. Taylor, Ryan, and I planted corn, green beans, broccoli, and lettuce. None of us have ever done this before (besides Taylor helping out him manna), so I am anxious to see if anything actually grows. I will keep you updated.

Taylor's First Ball Game
Taylor had his first and second t-ball game today! Taylor did such a good job hitting the ball and running after the ball when it was hit his way. The kids were so funny because the whole team would pile up on each, trying to catch the other team’s ball. Luckily at this age they don’t keep score, making everyone a winner, which makes the game so much more fun!!! I do have to admit though that by the end of the second game Taylor we checked out, because we witnessed him sitting at short stop on top of his head.

Taylor’s Ear is Looking Great!!!
Yesterday we headed to Little Rock for Taylor’s post op ear appointment. The doctor said his eardrum was looking great, and in six more weeks he should be all back to normal. This is great news!
Probably the coolest part of the trip was our $40 Priceline hotel deal. I am a big Priceline person, and for the most part have always had really good luck with the hotels that I end up. This week I asked Ryan to book us a room, and he went for an all time new low amount of $40. We ended up being awarded a night at one of the Marriott properties. It was a really nice hotel for what we paid for it, plus we got a free breakfast!!! I highly recommend Priceline.
We also had the opportunity to bring the kids to the zoo before coming back home today. Emma Grace loved watching the animals move around, and Taylor really liked riding the train and running up and down all the hills. Enjoy our pictures.

Taylor Story
I know I should not put some things in writing but some things are just too funny. And when I say “some things” I mean the things that my children do, that get them in trouble.
Today (Wednesday) Taylor got an incident report from school because he purposely stepped on one of his friend feet. I warned him on Monday that if he got any incident reports on Tuesday that I would be throwing away all of his Star Wars and Narnia movies. He did really good on Tuesday and did not get any bad reports, so to compromise today I told him that I was taking these movies away for a whole month. He immediately said “it’s a good thing the month’s almost over.” I assured him that it would be 5 weeks, but that I did appreciate his cleverness.
Secretly he cracks me up when he says stuff like this.

Then and Now….
Taylor you have had this Easter basket since the day you were born, and each year I get to pull it back out and it brings back so many wonderful memories. This year you told me “the bow was baby and that you were sick and tiered of it.” So I guess I am going to have to do something with it to “big boy” it up if I want you to keep carrying it. But I really enjoy the memories that we have shared with this particular Easter Basket.
