This is just a picture of me and the hubs during our date night Saturday. We were so very grateful that Emily would volunteer to babysit for us so we could have a night off. Yes we felt bad leaving her with a sick TLC (Taylor Lee Coble) but we did stick around and feed all the kids, bathe them, put the twins to bed, and make sure TLC had all his meds so he would sleep/watch a movie for Aunt Emily. She had it pretty easy and we did not have to feel too bad about taking a couple hours to ourselves. We ate at a cute little Cajun/Southern cooking restaurant in Roswell on Canton street (one of our favorite places to go). And then we ended the night at Kelly’s Kakes for dessert, a cupcake martini, and some live music. It was so much fun, and I am so thankful that Aunt Emily let us have some time out.
Emma Grace and I got to spend the morning and afternoon together on Saturday morning. Emma Grace has desperately needed some one-on-one time with mommy and daddy, so I took her to Gymnastics on Saturday. Then we ran a few errands, had lunch at the place of her choice (McDonald’s), played at McDonald’s, then went to Wal-Mart so she could pick out a Barbie (because McDonald’s ran out of them in the Happy Meals). Then we picked up Fancy from the Groomers, and her love tank has been filled for a while. I jus tlove this picture of her and I - you can see the excitment in her face!
I wish that I could figure out how to have that much one-on-one time with all my kids, my husband, and myself every day. If that was so, then everyone in the house might be happier all the time.
