My baby girl is writing her name at 3 and a half years old! She is on the second line of the paper and not the first.
They started doing this a couple works ago at school and her teachers just had her write "Emma" and she insisted that her name is Emma Grace and she wanted to write it all! So proud of my girl!
We have been taking full advantage of the warm weather here, and getting lots of outside play time in. Please do notice Emma Grace's new boots! She loves them and wears them everywhere. Thank you Aunt Jennifer!
I can’t believe the difference that 20 weeks brings?Addison has grown from 5.3 pounds to about 13 pounds.Addison started to roll over yesterday and she is smiling and talking like a big baby girl!I think she will be a daddy’s girl because he gets all of her good conversations!
Just for reference – in the one week old picture Addison was in Preemie Diapers, and in the 21 weeks picture she is about to bust out of size 2 diapers.
Those are two different Vaseline brands, but the size of the container is the same. Some moms use stuffed animals to measure their child’s size and really cute props but Vaseline was all I could get mine hands on! Oh the joy of being a mom to 4!
When I was young I could always remember my mom making comments "you just grow over night." I would think you are crazy that does not just happen. Well once again I have been proven wrong. Yesterday Ryan and I both noticed that Taylor's appetite was through the roof. Well this morning he woke up and started getting dressed for school and we quickly realized that his size 8 jeans did not fit him anymore, but they did last week. And as we were walking out the door he put his shoes on and started complaining that they were too tight. I felt them and his toe was about the pop out of the end of them.
Once again I guess my mom was right - they do just grow over night! Needless to say we had to go out and by new shoes tonight!
Taylor I love you so very much and wish you would stop growing up so quickly.
I am so proud of my little boy! He is the smartest child I have ever met, and he is all mine. I still can't believe that I have a child that is as smart as he is!!! But I am afraid he is on the verge of passing everything that Ryan and I know.
Tonight was Taylor's Showcase at TREC. TREC is the Gifted and Talented program that Taylor is in. He got to show us around their facility, and all of the experiments they have been working on. It was really a lot of fun. Little sis had a really good time as well.
Well we did it. We took our first family vacation as a family of six!!! All I have to say is thank goodness Manna, G-Daddy, and Aunt Emily all met us there to have fun and lend a hand. 5 adults to 4 children is a pretty manageable ratio!!!! We actually had a blast and all of the kids did very well. We went down to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl!!! Woo Pig - thank goodness we won the game. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge - which was a blast. I can't wait to plan our next trip. The kids had fun and the adults had fun. There was so much to do and eat in the hotel we never had to leave.
Poor Emily had to ride in the back of the car between Emma Grace and Taylor!
My name is Laura. I am a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a granddaughter, a friend, a use-to-be career woman, and most importantly a child of God. I am married to Ryan who is my best friend and the love of my life. Our oldest son is Taylor born in 2004, Emma Grace came second in 2008, and we were very much surprised with the blessing of our twins Addison and Preston in August 2011. We recently moved to the big city to simplify our life! We are a simple family with big dreams, and I have created this blog to capture the wonderful memories of my family. I hope you enjoy sharing in our life!
