Razorback Win, Tailgating with Friends, Silly Times with Daddy, New Baby….

A Halloween Surprise, and dirty noses (I hope this does not gross you out, but some of the pictures are just so very cute not to share).

Go Hogs!!! Today the Razorbacks beat Auburn 44 to 23, and we had an awesome time tailgating with the Bost and Family. We love when we get invited to Tailgate with Ms. Becky Bost, and Uncle David (as Taylor calls them), these are Mary’s in-laws. Today they invited us over for another huge Shrimp Boil that Chef Denise prepared. There was enough delicious Cajun food to feed an Army.

A good friend of mine who had a baby just 16 days ago, and got readmitted to the hospital earlier this week due to an infection in her c-section site. Her and her new baby are at the hospital, but her husband is at home with their two year old. She probably will not get to go home until at least Monday, but they keep pushing her time back. She is in good spirits (a lot better than I would be), but she misses her husband and other baby boy. Their family has been through so very much, if you could please remember them in your prayers.
Here are some pictures of her precious baby. I heart babies so much. If I had enough time in my day to day life (and my husband was comatose) I would probably have more children than the Dugger’s. I love the whole baby process, I love carrying a baby in my tummy, I love giving birth, I love nursing, I love snuggling, I love changing diapers that are smaller than my hand, I love the little noises that babies make, I love to watch babies sleep, and most of all I love to wonder how God had the whole process figured out and how truly miraculously it all is.
Taylor has spent the past couple of nights with his manna, and Ryan and I have gotten some extra Early Morning playtime in with Emma Grace. Enjoy these pictures, again Emma with a dirty nose.

And finally… I just got Emma Grace’s Halloween costume in the mail, and could not resist trying it on her. It is simply the cutest thing that I have ever seen. Here is sneak peek, see if you can figure out what it is, and I will unveil the rest on 10/31 after Trunk or Treating at our church.

Fall Time Is Here

This weekend we got to visit the pumpkin patch, as a family, and it was simply wonderful. It seems these days it is hard for all four of us to find things to do because our interest are all different, but we all seemed to enjoy hanging out at the local Pumpkin Patch. We also got to meet up with Mary, Jonathan, and Lucy and really enjoyed watching the kids play together. We visited this place last fall and had as much fun this year as we did last year. Ryan and Taylor really enjoyed the corn maze, and Emma Grace loved climbing in and out of the wagons. She also enjoyed running off with all of Taylor’s meticulously chosen gourds and pumpkins! He was not very happy but he is tolerant these days.

Ryan and I told Taylor that he had $10 to spend on pumpkins and he had more fun budgeting his money and adding up what he spent and trading pumpkins for others ones so he would come in at budget. If you have kids this is a great activity to do with them.

Enjoy our pictures from the pumpkin patch.

Taylor 1st Fall Carnival

Saturday morning we got to sign Taylor up for Wrestling and then we headed over to his school’s Fall Carnival. He had so much fun sliding down the big slide and playing with his friends.

My sunshine, who every night sneaks in our room and climes in between his daddy and myself, where we awake to find him every morning at 4:30 a.m. I will secretly miss the days where he sleeps with us.

Taylor and Ms. Eubanks:
Taylor's Friend: Preston
(I love the name Preston – that was going to be Emma Grace’s name had she been a little boy).
Taylor's friend Jenna
Jenna's mom Amy and I are co-homeroom moms for Ms. Eubanks this year,
and we get to play all of the parties!

Funny Taylor Story

Yesterday Taylor had to break it to me that he got his card changed to the “yellow card.” He said the reason for this was because his teacher did not think he was writing in his journal. He said “the fact was mom, that I was thinking about what I wanted to write in my journal, and I just could not decide because there were so many fun choices to choose from, so I was just sitting there thinking. And Ms. Eubanks thought I was not working, and she made me change my card to Yellow.”

So as you can imagine I thought Taylor made a pretty good attempt at negotiating his side of the story, but like I am supposed to do I told Taylor “that this behavior was not appropriate and when we got home he needed to talk to his daddy about what happened and why he got his card changed.” Then he proceeded to tell me that he felt “Ms. Eubanks was just having a bad day and that is why he got his card changed. He asked if we could keep it a secret between me, him, and Ms. Eubanks”

I love that little boy, and he is going to make a great lawyer or conniving business man one day.

Funny Taylor Story

This morning Taylor said that he wanted Yogurt for Breakfast so I got him a cup out and when he opened it he got grossed out at the fact that there was liquid on top of it, so I stirred it for him and handed it back to him to eat. Well at this point he was put-out and insisted that he would not eat yogurt that was not smooth on top. My response to him was “you asked for this expensive kid yogurt in the Wal-Mart, so I bought it for you, and now I expect you to eat it, there are starving kids in this world.” His response back was “I think I will just save the gross yogurt for the starving kids.”

Taylor as mad as you can make me sometimes you never fail to make me laugh.

I Heart Chicago

Last week I had the opportunity to attend a Supply Chain conference in Chicago and I also had a little bit of time to walk around the city, and I have to say that “I heart Chicago”! What a beautiful and clean city. I have never been before so I did not know what was getting into, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really hope that Opra and Obama’s push for the 2016 Olympics in Chicago comes to fruition because more people need to know about Chicago and all its glory. I can’t wait to one day take my family up there because there is so much geared to children. There is a wonderful aquarium (with dolphins and wheals) and children museum. The list goes on and on. Plus I hope that one day Mary and I can bring the girls up to the American Doll store, and pick out their first American Doll, and have a dress up party, and get our hair and make-up done. I love dreaming about the girly things that Emma and I will one day get to do.
